I would say that never postpone your travel to Iran because you will definitely find something to enjoy at any time you come. In addition, It is good to know that during 3 special lunar months, Ramadan, Moharram, and Safar there are some holidays and events that can affect the routine itineraries.
All in all, since Iran is a country with different climates and a lot of attractions which are suitable for a huge range of tastes there is no limitation of choosing a specific time to travel to Iran. But if you have a special plan and want to visit some particular places, it would be better to check your calendar first.
